Phase 1 notice — pending legal review
Privacy notice
The free calculator is designed so birth information is used for one calculation request and is not retained.
What the calculator sends
Your browser sends the chosen calendar system and birth date, including lunisolar tradition and leap-month choice when applicable; hour and minute or an unknown-time flag; time uncertainty and sex at birth if supplied; place name, coordinate source, latitude and longitude if supplied, and the IANA time zone; and calculation policy choices. The server needs these values only to calculate and return the chart.
Request only, never retained
On the server, birth inputs and chart results exist only for the calculation request and its response. The phase-1 server does not store or log them: they are not put in a database, a cache keyed by birth information, a log line, an analytics event or a URL, and responses are marked no-store.
Browser-only preferences
The first-party kf-locale cookie stores only your language. Browser localStorage can hold your theme and timestamps used to cap the Kindle suggestion and ad frequency. None of these preferences contains birth information or chart results.
What phase 1 does not have
There are no accounts, payments, friend graph, AI reports, third-party analytics or affiliate tracking in phase 1. A calculation is not linked to an identity.
Before accounts can launch
Phase 2 must first publish legally reviewed terms and a privacy notice covering stored account and profile data, purposes, retention and deletion, user access and deletion, security controls, service providers and payment handling, with any required choices or consent. Until then, account, payment, friend and AI-report features stay unlinked.
